Dunrobin Castle Golspie

Dunrobin Castle is the most northerly of Scotland's great houses and the largest in the Northern Highlands with 189 rooms. Dunrobin Castle is also one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later, the Dukes of Sutherland.

18miles South on the A9 Seat of the Sutherland Family vastly extended updated and renovated over the years an impressive visit with lots of interesting history lovely gardens and walks.

Timespan Heritage Centre

Established in 1986¸ Timespan developed from a small local heritage centre to an award-winning museum and the only public contemporary art gallery in Sutherland, with a core visiting audience of around 13,000 per annum.

La Mirage

Originally opened in the 1970's, La Mirage has become well known, not only throughout the North of Scotland but also world-wide, for the unusual ambience.

In 2003 Nancy retired and the new owners, Pam and Mike Wakefield, took over with a hard act to follow. With Pam's many years of experience in the catering industry, including top class hotels in the UK, and the invaluable assistance of Nancy and Don, every effort has been made to continue the traditions established in the early years.
